Swinging for Success: Kennedy at the Miracle Tournament
The 33rd Annual Miracle Tournament, benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, recently united young champions from hospitals nationwide. Hosted by 7-Eleven, this year’s event unfolded at the NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio, with a Celebration Dinner at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton.
Among the participants was Kennedy, representing Boston Children’s Hospital. Her story began with a rare throat condition, but thanks to exceptional care and support from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, she can now live life to the fullest with the continuation of care. Kennedy’s presence underscored the profound impact of quality healthcare and community support in enabling children to thrive while managing ongoing medical challenges.
The two-day event saw Kennedy and fellow hospital champions joining over 600 suppliers, vendors, and business partners for golf and fundraising. Participants enjoyed friendly competition and meaningful interactions with Champion Children and their families. A Slurpee truck added a refreshing touch to the festivities.
7-Eleven’s commitment to children’s healthcare shines through this annual event. By featuring different hospital champions each year, the tournament extends support to a diverse range of hospitals and young patients across the country.
The Miracle Tournament’s impact is substantial. Last year’s event raised nearly $3 million for children’s hospitals throughout the United States, demonstrating the power of community efforts in transforming children’s healthcare.
