Miss Massachusetts Visits Boston Children’s Hospital

Jillian Zucco, Miss Massachusetts 2017, recently stopped by Boston Children’s Hospital to spend the day with patients in the Seacrest Studios.

The Seacrest Studios—a component of the Creative Arts Programs within Child Life Services—provides unique multimedia experiences to the entire hospital community. Whether it be through music request hours, game shows, or celebrity guests, patients have the chance to delve into their creative side, either on-air or in the comfort of their own rooms.

During her visit to the hospital’s Seacrest Studios in January, Zucco competed in a Moana lipsync battle and dance-off with one of our patients, Logan!

It’s no doubt that Zucco fit right in at the Seacrest Studios, yet she’s no stranger to the hospital either.

Zucco graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BS in Nursing and now works as a telemetry nurse. Zucco is also an active blood donor and recently hosted a drive with the Boston Children’s Hospital Bloodmobile. Additionally, Zucco is one of Boston Children’s Hospital’s top fundraisers—winning the Miracle Maker award for the Miss Massachusetts pageant this past year, and placing second at the National Miss America pageant as a Miracle Maker.
