Celebrate Miracle Treat Day® on July 28 to benefit patients at Boston Children’s Hospital

The DQ® brand is bringing hope to kids at Boston Children’s Hospital, a member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Boston Children’s Hospital wants to ensure the children in our community can lead healthy, fulfilling lives. But they can’t do it alone.

On Thursday, July 28, participating DQ® locations are giving back to positively change the health of children in our community. $1 or more from every Blizzard® Treat sold at participating DQ® locations will benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Through these donations, Boston Children’s Hospital can provide treatments and support patients desperately need today, so that they can fulfill their potential for tomorrow.

Patients like Emmie, Rosie and Frannie. The three sisters and their mom share a rare, inherited blood disorder but it’s not due to genetics. Their parents built their family around a loving and lifesaving choice—to adopt their daughters, one by one, to give them access to the transfusions they all need to survive with thalassemia.

Thalassemia is an inherited disorder that requires transfusions every 21 days to replace irregular red blood cells and prevent severe anemia. Now, the sisters visit the hospital together for lifesaving transfusions and take the same daily medications. They are thriving and happy to be together.  Donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals support several programs that give Emmie, Rosie and Frannie a world of possibility, including Child Life Services, play therapy and pet therapy.  

The DQ® brand has been a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for 38 years and has raised more than $684,000 locally for Boston Children’s Hospital. Their support has brought joy and hope to kids treated in the hospital in numerous ways.
